I'm not the best person to answer this as I don't use Vista.......

BUT, I would download the latest Intel chipset drivers and run them anyway.

It wont hurt your system, and you'll know all the drivers are installed.

E6600 is not a chipset.

P35 is newer than Vista, in case you have it.
