which one would be best for gaming ? and also which overclocks better ? im buying new comp so it would be nice if u help me in my country the price of both cpu are same

Its pretty clear that the E6300 is BY FAR the better choice, there is absolutely no competition between the 2 (besides, perhaps, the price, the 3200+ would probably be a little cheaper)

It depends.

Objextively E6300 will be better in anything.

But if you have to decide between:

Amd 64 3200 + Radeon X1800XT/X1900XT
and
E6300 + Geforce 7600GT/Radeon X1800GTO

Then I will choose the former.

The two processors you've asked to compared offer quite different levels of performance, but are also vastly different in price (i.e. CPU+Mobo) - what's your budget then?

The E6300 is the better choice, as in soem tests it is barely slower than 5000 X2 and and worst the same speed as a 4400 x2. It is also a monster overclocker, hitting up to 3.6GHz on air on some motherboards. unfortauntely, it is Intel all the way now

i heard tht real-world gaming differnce is very low of the conroe according to hardocp and bit-tech but still i think i shud go for e6300

It's not "very low" at all.

In these "real world" benchmarks the CPU is pretty much taken out of the equation, and purely GPU limited. So all modern CPUs would be pretty much even.

But if you put it through a task that is CPU limited, you'd see it fly compared to the same-price K8.

Just look at Anand's own comparisons and forget about what they said. There really is a real-world difference. It's that Intel's $300 processor is equal to AMD's $1000. 😉

This is why I don't approve of the metohds HardOCP used.

In the benchmarks they used a Pentium 4 3.2GHZ would have shown the same scores nevemind a superior processor like the Athlno 64x2 4200+, Core 2 Duo E6300, Athlon FX 62, or Core 2 Extreme X6800.
