Intel DZ68DB overclock options?

Can anyone advise on what overclock options this board has? This may be a good fit for my needs, as I am only interested in basic overclocking. I have read Intel boards have 'turbo' options which let you choose a pre-set percentage to 'boost' the clock - such as 2%, 4%, 8%, etc. but cannot confirm this is same for the DZ68DB. In the past, I have ASUS boards and not familiar with the Intel mainboard setups. At $135 and support for the full Z68 feature set, this board is a nice option. Thanks for any insight!

The i5-2500K and -2600K are the CPUs that you can overclock.

With Sandy Bridge you do a normal overclock by just increasing the maximum multiplier not by messing with RAM and CPU frequencies. It's only for Extreeme! overclocking that you need to mess with frequencies or cooking the CPU by overvolting it. That's when you might want a $200 Asus board.

If you go to intel.com you should be able to download the manual for the MB or BIOS to make sure the "change the multiplier" option is there, but it should be.

Edit: also, the standard "turbo boost" when only 1-2 cores are in use happens automatically for all i5/i7 CPUs you don't need to choose overcloking or buy a K chip to get that.

I found the manual and referenced the 'BIOS Performance Features' section. From the content I have copied and pasted below, I am unsure if this allows for some overclocking. 'Processor multiplier can only be adjusted down' is not the right direction. Is the the 'base clock frequency adjustment' the one that is needed?? thanks for any insight -

3.11 BIOS Performance Features
The BIOS includes the following options to provide custom performance enhancements
when using Intel Core i7, Intel Core i5, and Intel Core i3 processors in an LGA1155
socket.
• Processor Maximum Non-Turbo Ratio (processor multiplier can only be adjusted
down)
• Processor Turbo Ratio
• Processor Base Clock Frequency adjustment
• Memory multiplier adjustment
• Memory voltage adjustment
• Graphics multiplier adjustment

if the Z68 mobo is anything like my DP67DE (P67 mATX intel mobo)

DP67DE: the max non-turbo ratio is at 33x. it can only go down

to overclock, you have to adjust the turbo multiplier higher (eg i have mine set at 44x)

problem with my DP67DE is that my turbo throttles down after some time(i think i hit a thermal limit or something, even though I have most of the thermal settings really high). theres a bios update for my board, but I dont have my desktop with me right now to try it out

(you see the max non-turbo ratio at 33x near the middle, and the actual turbo multiplier at 44x at the bottom)
