<< Damnit Intel! They better cut prices. I wanted to order my Northwood today (or tomorrow), but I don't want to pay $365 🙁 >>

I was waiting too. Don't worry, they will or else they'll loose valued customers.

Somehow I cant see them worrying about you.

I am just itching to get a northwood P4 -- waiting for a final (if it happens) drop in price for the higher end CPU's -- may occur in a couple of days..

It takes a little while for sellers to catch up to the price cuts. Intel prices are have already been cut, but sellers haven't updated all prices as of yet...

Why not get a 1.8A, they're in the low to mid $200's and I've seen several people OC'ing them into the mid 2.5's suposedly with stock cooling. On guy was on Hardocp, I don't remember where I saw the others.

You'd be surprised... Intel's marketing people would eat this guy up. Just imagine, they could bring back the guys in the suits from the P2/P3 era and give them fire hoses in an anti-AMD tinted ad campaign...

😉

I am one of the guys looking at the 1.8a chip. I think thats the best deal of the bunch. Not worth paying $100 more for 200 Hmz.

The lowest price so far for the 1.8a chip is $225 including shipping. Its a retail version. No one is selling the OEM 1.8a yet. Waiting for someone to sell the OEM version so I can slap a sunflower on it.
