INTEL DID NOT LOWER PRICES!!!!

Intel Corp didn't lower their prices on anything greater or equal to 2Ghz. This includes their Northwood processors. It must most probably be that they are selling very well. I hope that they lower the prices on 1.8Ghz & 1.6Ghz NWs.

Uh...according to the new pricelists I got from my distributors they have issued price cuts on a wide variety of P4 CPU's.

Umm...

I hope that you are not referring to that Intel page???

According to new pricelists I just received, the prices have gone down on variety of CPUs...
May not effect retail prices immediately though.

Don't know how many of you are privy to Ingram Micro's product page, but, Intel has cut P4 2.2 & 2.0 prices.................looks like around $50 or so a piece and Ingram is not that cheap!😉 Pricewatch didn't reflect this at last check but should soon as resellers will reflect the update............

Damnit Intel! They better cut prices. I wanted to order my Northwood today (or tomorrow), but I don't want to pay $365 🙁

Intel might not have lowered official prices, but the 2.2 GHz Northwood dropped $54 at pricewatch.

I don't want the $500 2.2GHz cpu... I want the 2.0a 🙁

Well that did drop $15 over the weekend. However I bet that $15 wasn't even close to what you were counting on.

I was waiting too. Don't worry, they will or else they'll loose valued customers.

<<they will or else they'll loose valued customers>>

Yeah..., right....., just watch OEM prices. I'm sure they'll be itching to give out the best deal on the P4's, lot's of competition!

<<I could never spend more than about $200 for a CPU. One can always find a powerful enough CPU for that price. >>

Very true, but some times fast enough just dosent cut it for the more technicaly savy people, gotta have more speed!!.😛
