Intel DH55TC Core i3 desktop issues

Hi, I have recently started to experience some issues with my Intel DH55TC and core i3 win desktop.

System: Intel OG DH55TC motherboard with Core i3, 4GB RAM chip and iball Cabinate.

Firstly, When I press the power button, they system starts for a few seconds then shuts down. Sometimes, it does this repeatedly on its own. i.e. You press the power button on the cabinate, and the power supply makes a noise (fan starting) and then it shuts down, then starts , then shuts down.. on its own. Sometimes it just happens once. Basically just shuts down in a few seconds.

At times, it restarts on its own while using the machine. But this does not happen often.

Now, I thought this could be due to a defective switch, so I swapped the 'Reset SW' and 'Power SW' pins on the motherboard. But the same issue persisted when I pressed the Reset button.
Also, the iBall cabinate is relatively new. Around 1 year and a half max. So I doubt that both switches would be spoilt.

Also, it cannot be overheating, as both CPU and cabinate fans are working, and there is no Graphics card, nor are there any heavy games played, and the outside temperature is within 15 - 20 degrees C here. Plus the temperature monitor does not show any issues.

What I feel could be the problem is either the Power supply or the CMOS battery or the motherboard. But I am not sure and do not know how to be sure.

Also, I just got this strange Blue Screen STOP error today -

"A problem has been detected...

STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001904FB, 0x92AEB4FC, ... etc...
Ntfs.sys - Address 8D2C285F base at 8D223000"

Had to do a cold boot after this. It hung basically.

Also, Scandisk revealed no problems.

Please if anyone has any ideas regarding this do let me know

Thanks in Advance

Regards

A failing power supply can show up as a RAM problem or a Hard Drive problem. It would not hurt to try a new power supply. Of course it could also be bad RAM. Sounds like a bad power supply.
