Intel DG965RY 8gb 800MHz Ram Support?

The Intel website says That My motherboard Intel DG965RY

Will support the following :

8GB max 667MHz DDR 2
4GB max 800MHz DDR 2
I tried 8gb 800MHz DDR 2 in my system
It wokled perfectly and showed up in my BIOS


Then I spoke to an online INTELonline Live chat technician

He told me that Intel recomend 800mhz 4gb only. Dont use 8gb it will damage ur motherboard thats wht he said

I checked in a local hardware shop , The computer Hardware technician told me if it supprots it will show in the BIOS

IT SHOWS AS 8gb 800mhz

So Can it be a problem in the future for me ?
