I don't see it here. Maybe the person who told you that confused a Pentium D (Netburst) with a Pentium Dual-Core (Core 2)?

a lot of other brand 3 series chipset boards support it.

but i think intel brand, they did not design the VRM to support non core 2 based CPUs.

i have a dg31pr and i know it only supports the E2000 / e4000 / e6000 etc and the celeron 4xx and e1000 series. i doubt it supports the p4 or pentium D or any netburst chips

i'd assume he already had a p4 2.66 cpu, and would just want to get a board that would let him upgrade later.
