I pre-ordered Windows 7 Pro back when it was $99 and will be getting it in the mail soon. My question is this: will it work on my system? I've looked at the Windows 7 64-bit driver page on Intel's website and it's pretty much empty except for some network drivers. No chipset, audio, etc drivers. Is it safe to assume that the Vista 64-bit drivers will work for Windows 7 64-bit?

This motherboard has 8 SATA ports total.

Do I need the Marvell or Matrix Storage drivers if I do not plan to use RAID?

I do plan to use all 8 slots as a regular internal drive (non-raid). Basically, do I need a driver just to use all 8 sata ports?

no, you do not. I have installed win 7 64 bit on my bad axe 2 board and it works well.

Did you install the Vista x64 Chipset drivers? I noticed Intel doesn't have one for win 7.
