will this mobo and ram: 'KINGSTON HyperX KHX3200A/512 CAS 2' be stable out of the box? at kingston's website they don't list the hyperX when looking up memory for this mobo, they list KVR.

i would rather play it safe with this first build

thanks!

It's hard to play it safe when it comes to RAM compatibility and these 875/865 boards. There's all kinds of memory glitches with these chipsets. That Kingston should work just finebut unfortunately there's no guarantee, and with te 875PBZ you don't even have the option to give it a little more Vdimm to help stabilize it. Intel has a memory compatibility chart for the 875PBZ, look at that for a list of tested RAM. That's probably your best guarantee of choosing the correct RAM. I recommend running Memtest86 to check your RAM & MoBo before you even try and load the OS.

I have Kingston HyperX memory - KHX4000/512 - with a D865GRH motherboard and it is working fine. The KVR is the value ram and the KHX is supposed to be of better quality.
