HI

I am building a pc that I will not overclock. After doing some research on some forums I came to the conculsion that the
Intell D875PBZ is the best non-overclocking board. I dont need features like onboard video or audio, and stability is important to me. Is this the best mb going right now? Price is an issue, but it looks like the going rate for quality motherboards is about $150 right now. Any other suggestions? Any ideas what type of memory i should use if im not overclocking?

thanks

Intel makes high quality stable boards. I would yes for the value also for Intel 875 chipset board. Dell uses them.

You are paying a premium for the 875 chipset. There are a lot of less costly alternatives (865) that will give you performance on par with the D875PBZ, especially for $150.

For example, this mb can only connect 6 USB2.0 ports, yet the Ich5 supports 8, there is no firewire, no sata power cables. This may seem like small stuff but it is something to look at.
