I just picked up a pair of Crucial Ballistics 512MB DDR500, and installed them in my PERL board, running a 3.06 HT @ 533MHz.
If I run them in dual channel mode @ 333, Windows acts really wierd, reboots as soon as I get to the desktop, bluescreens before the desktop, or simply locks up soon after getting to the desktop.
If I clock the mem back down to 266MHz, it runs fine in dual channel mode, and if I run them in single channel mode @ 333MHz, it works fine as well.
I have the latest BIOS, tried the modules in all different physical configurations - what gives?
Is it worth trying to get it to run in dual channel mode? Performance wise?
