Does anyone know if this mobo supports Northwood cpu's? I know that the Abit and Asus PGA478 mobo's supports Northwood cpu's. I just want to make sure, I would like to save some money since I'm not going to overclock. There's no mention on Intel's site about the support of Northwood cpu's, just for the ones out now.

Yes, the Intel Maryville D850MV board will support the Northwood processor, with a BIOS update.
 
And Intel typically makes the most stable/reliable/frill-less boards around, no overclocking but generally the most stable you can get.
