hi,
one query will Intel D850MV motherboard support below mentioned RDRAM

Memory Capacity: 1GB- 2 x 512MB
Memory Technology: RDRAM
PC Rating: PC800
Memory Capacity: 1GB- 2 x 512MB

This query raised because the official site shows

Memory configurations from 128 MB (minimum) to 2 GB (maximum), using 128 Mbit or 256 Mbit technology PC600- or PC800-compliant RDRAM

that means whether it will support 512 or not???

If I understand the question correctly that you are asking if the Intel® Desktop Board D850MV can support memory in a 2 x 512MB configuration? The answer is yes it can. This site lists tested memory which does include some 512MB RAMBUS Sticks http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d850mv/sb/CS-009913.htm. Since RAMBUS was always put on the board in matching sticks looks like you would be safe in a 2 x 512MB.

Yeah, its confusing, the 128Mbit and the 256 Mbit refer to the density of the memory chips on the 512MB RDRAM module itself.

Those motherboards will actually support up to 2GB (4 X 512MB) of the slower PC2-800 RDRAM chips.

If you want the faster PC2-1066 RDRAM chips you will be limited to 1.5 GB, and since they must be installed in pairs its pretty much 2 X 512MB PC2-1066.

I actually run 4 X 256 (1GB) PC2-1066 RDRAM modules and its very stable.
