Howdy,
I'm bringing up an old P4 machine in XP to use as a backup storage machine.
The motherboard in it is an Intel D845PT.
BIOS is PT84510A.86A.0030.P08 (just downloaded from Intel's site)
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out if this board has USB 2.0 ports on the back or not. I find info that this board does have USB 2.0 if I go into a certain USB Configuration menu in Bios, but I don't have that option.
I also stumbled on something that said if the board has USB ports next to the PS/2 port that this means it doesn't support USB 2.0. Mine does have those ports next to the PS/2 and under the LAN jack but I don't know where I saw that.
Anyway, just looking for any help with figuring out why these ports aren't working as 2.0 and if there's some other way to do this without adding in a PCI USB 2.0 expansion card. I want to use the usb port to connect a wireless adapter and I don't know that this will work with USB 1.1.
Thanks.
