Intel D845PEBT2 slooow bootup

I just got an Intel D845PEBT2 (Blue Mountain 2) board with a 2.4b processor. Installed XP and all the drivers without any problems. When I reboot however, most of the time the system takes about 4 or 5 minutes to boot!! It's not getting hung up in the bios detecting drives or anything, it's once XP starts to load. It first sits at the XP screen with the scrolling blue thing for about 2 minutes with no motion. When it finally gets past that, it sits at a black screen for another couple minutes before finally proceeding to the XP login screen.

Anyone else having this problem? What could be causing it? My system specs are as follows:

D845PEBT2 mb
P4 2.4b processor
1gb Crucial PC2700 ram
two IBM 120gb drives
Liteon cdrw
Ricoh DVD+RW
Geforce 3 Ti200
