Intel CS110 webcam does not work with Intel 810e chipset board

I have an Intel 810e Motheboard based system, when i install a USB Intel CS110 webcam the system, it either does not detect it or just hangs on using it? I have completely reinstalled and tried the same with Win2K and Win98Se....bit got the same results.. ..can anybody help please?....Thanks a lot in advance.
