intel cpu for new gaming build

any recommendations for a intel cpu used stricktly for gaming, possibly in the $250 range

The cookie cutter recommendation at this point is the E8400, a 3 GHz dual core which will have no problems playing any game out there for the foreseeable future. It's worth mentioning than a whole new line of CPUs, along with a new socket, will be coming out in a matter of months.
