Hi there,
I was wondering, can the cpu be overclocked? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I am a newbie when it comes to overclocking.

No. Or if there is a way, I'll be darned if I know how. You either need a k-class CPU or you need a LGA1151 desktop CPU in a motherboard that supports bclk OC (which is wonky at best).

I don't think the bclk OC tricks work for FCBGA1440

The only overclockable mobile SKU is the i7-6820HK. Everything else is locked down.

Up until Haswell the standard wattage mobile CPU could be slightly overclocked through raising the max CPU multiplier by 2x. So, for example the 4700HQ could be configured to go from 3.2/3.4 Ghz in multi and st loads respectively to 3.4/3.6 Ghz.

However, AFAIK on Skylake this was changed, and there're no more room to play with multipliers. It not that big of a loss anyway, since the 200Mhz one could squeeze is easily gained back by a far more responsive clock control in Skylake (Speed Shift).

If you have a 6700HQ just enjoy it :)

Check out Intel XTU and ThrottleStop.

No you cannot overclock, but sustaining a max turbo load in a laptop is actually quite hard to cool unless you have a high fan speed.

Intel XTU let's you undervolt and ThrottleStop let's you control frequency easily. This gives you something to tinker with at least.
