Hi,

I am currently building my own PC for the 1st time. I have decided to opt for

Processor : Intel Core i5 4440

Motherboard : MSI H87M-G43

I just to know if they will fit with each other and work fine?

Thanks!

I don't think we have that problem with Haswell boards yet, though it may crop up with the refresh in Q2.

If the board ships with that BIOS it should. I ran into an issue with a MSI P67 board that wouldn't support a G530 without the appropriate BIOS. I ended buying a i3-2100 just to get the darn thing to boot.

Chipsets are not always forward compatible with future chips on the same socket without a BIOS update. This does not apply to Haswell and "8" series chipsets because the chipset was intended for Haswell chips from the start.
