Yeah, not bad at all. I wonder how this compares, stock for stock, against the $59.99 FS Ryzen R3 1200 that Newegg has? Obviously, the B350/B450 mATX boards will be cheaper for the AMD.

What is the ACT (all-core Turbo) on this CPU? Is it 4.2? Or 3.9? 4.0? I wonder if, in certain circumstances, if it wouldn't edge out the i5-9400F, slightly, if the ACT is higher. Then again, that rarely happens, that an i3 would be faster than an i5, even in certain corner cases, so I doubt it.

Would certainly make a nice little business / SOHO home desktop PC, with an Optane Memory NVMe SSD attached.

Wow, with the recent ryzen deals at microcenter and now this, looks like a cpu price war is brewing again.

As far as performance compared to the r3 1200, it kicks the r3 pretty hard, but the r5 1600 with its extra cores and cheap price (someone got a combo from mc at$100 out the door), makes for a good competitor:
