ok ive narrowed search to include Intel Core Duo Wolfdale 8400 series and a
Gigabyte GA-ep45-ud3r LGA 775 P45 ATX...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] RATING//// i tried to run the Newegg memory calculator but they do not offer this particular mobo as i see it ///under specifications the memory standard is 1333mhz...so idk what this represents and when searching for memory with this number (1333) as keyword i get no info///ill be running XP and i was told that, that will only take 4 gigs....what do you guys think? One guy said he tried 1066 but that it wouldnt boot up and when replacing with ddr2 800, booting up was no problem __//also i will be running an OCZ psu w/700watts
i hate being worrisome to you guys but fact is that im 59 yrs old and its a bit over my head, main reason ive never o'cd...thanks for any recommendations and time spent answering...clownshoes420

DDR2-1333 doesn't even exist; it's only for extremely extreme overclocking.

Get some nice basic stuff like i linked to, & you'll be fine.

That kit can run at default 1.8v, & timings will run fine at defaults too. Just insert & you'll be good; you won't need to mess around in the BIOS to get them working perfectly.
