I recently bought HP Pavillion dv5200tx laptop with intel core duo t2250.

http://h50188.www5.hp.com/store/storeModelDetail.asp?modelid=5972&familyid=1122

Intel's website has no mention of this processor althought the processor identification utility does identify it.

How does this processor with faster 1.73Ghz cores but slower 533Mhz FSB stack up against core duo t2300 with 1.66Ghz cores and 667Mhz FSB?

Any advice on overclocking the FSB to 667 Mhz?

probably an OEM processor....there were also some Athlon XP 2900+....and a Athlon 64 3300+....

it could also be a typo...

i don't know about laptop overclocking...my cousin's laptop doesnt allow any overclocking...try entering the bios and see...

Yeah its just an OEM processor, they just lowered the FSB.

Its performance should be similar to that of a T2300.

You cannot overclock it.

Oh man, I bet you can since the FSB is lowered! That means if you can pin-mod it back to the normal speed, then it'll be OCed quite a bit!

Maybe he means that you cannot OC it because it's an HP, and they lock down the BIOS to prevent OCing.
