Once the Kentsfield comes out you will see the problem it has. My second box is an ES Kentsfield QX6700 @ 395x10 under Custom Vapochill LS.

Good to see we have someone on here with prerelease engineering samples that isn't under NDA. No telling how many others we have, but even still, the more, the merrier.

Kentsfield looks like a good candidate for some kind of water cooling setup as the stock cooling solution. I'm not sure how that would work though . . . maybe some modified version of the cooling solution used on Sapphire's toxic video cards? Mounting something like that would be a pain.

This is the exact same thing basically as compare to the Presler and Cedar Mill only were talking about Core based architecture products compared to Netburst based units.

Actually, Kentsfield is to Conroe as Smithfield is to Prescott. Or so it seems to me, anyway.

Well I guess the very obvious benefit of quad core processors are multitasking and of course performance boosts for threaded optimised apps. For games of which most are not yet threaded (mostly), benefit can still be realized by running more than 2 or 3 apps while playing without slowing the game performance.

Also a good candidate for ViiV and Live concept which intends to run more than 1 apps.
