I found this nifty little trick that can only be done with the Intel 975 chipset. You will need a soldering iron and/or some conducting paint. For this to work, you have to connect 2 jumpers with either a soldering mechanism or just glue them together. What this does is it unlocks upper multipliers for lower Core 2 Duo models such as the E6300, E6400, and the E 6600. This will only unlock the upper multipliers but not the lower ones so don't be surprised. For those who say this is a rumor, this has been confirmed by an Intel Representative at a showcasing in Dallas a few days ago. ( August 5th, to be exact ). He also showed the overclocking capabilities of the E6800 processor but that's beside the point

The guy with the white headset is the Intel rep. He explains the use of the jumpers through the video. The blue acrylic computer contains an Intel 975BX motherboard.
Here's a picture of the motherboard. The arrow points towards the jumpers which you need to solder/glue: http://i4.tinypic.com/2448a3o.jpg
Here's an additional thread from another QuakeCon attendee who has confirmed the "rumor" to be true.
