Ill be doing Video editing, F@H, a game once in a blue moon, and a lot of autodesk inventor
so should i go with the Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 or the Intel Xeon 3050 ?

whats cheaper?

actually, you can get the E6750 for near the price of the E6400. So, that it is.

Are you buying these used? If not, there're much newer chips than the E6400 which are cheaper, more powerful, or both.

I don't have the price . But pretty sure wolfdale has I good one under $200. Thats the only way to go. If your buying now.

It doesn't come out until Sunday. If it's selling too high when it's released, the E8200 should be within your budget. 2.66GHz if I recall correctly.

the 3050 and e6400 are the exact same chip. i'd figure the e6400 would be cheaper. you can probably get an e6600 (same as the 3060) for the same price. or a 1333 bus chip. honestly a e4600 would be faster than the e6400/3050 also.


if you are building an all new system get the e8400. the price difference between e8200 and e8400 is only supposed to be $20 ...



if you are getting new ram too get 4gb..... honestly if you can spare a few more bucks a used q6600 might be gotten for $200 or so in march.


if you already have a motherboard, well depending on what it is theres different options
