No, it's due the beginning of April. And take a look at real-time stock checker from the site. ETA 04-02-2007. Order now, wait more than a month, then you will get it.

I guess that's not a bad pre-order price, but they should be cheaper when they are released according to everything Ive read. I posted the new models and price cuts coming in April in the CPU forum

There's one thing that makes this deal somewhat interesting: ETA 04/02/07. Isn't Intel releasing E4400 on 04/22/2007? I'd be willing to prepay (and pay $20-$30 extra) if I knew for sure that it ships (to me) on 04/02/07. Any toughts on when E4400 really becomes available? Any Intel insiders here?

What is the usual markup for CPUs? If the volume pricing for a e4400 is $133, a 15% markup for retail would mean the price would be $152, so this price could be what we see a month from now as well.

Just saw this so I thought I would pass it on. It looks like the C2D E4400 is now available. I have been waiting for this CPU but I am going to call and/or email tomorrow to confirm. Most of the e-sellers still have it listed as being on backorder but many of them are beginning to jack up the list price so I assume they will be getting them soon.

Here is the link: E4400 at PC SuperStore

well the ones for sale are retail so a small markup + a little bit more for being retail.

According to the PCSuperstore link:

Stock as of 5:45am 4/7/07
After your order is placed, Allow approximately 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Same thing as of 9:21am 4/7/07. I believe it was same when adnoto spotted it (adnoto, you just did not click the "instant availability" link, did you?). It's just another attempt of one of those stores to get hold of (more of) your money sooner than they really deserve to.

It looks like they are backordered now. That went fast. Anyways says they have over 1000 units coming 4/9/07 so.. I may jump on this. I emailed them to see when I might expect one to arrive if I did place an order. If its 3 weeks, id rather just wait for price cuts.

Hmm...

Were they ever available originally, or is PCSuperstore just pulling everyone's chain by pushing availability back until the 22nd? Shady.:disgust:

So early impressions

Not so good impressions

Better Impressions

So what's the verdict thus far? Wait and see basically =P

For those on a budget though, it looks like e4300 is still the way to go while it lasts since there's not really much of a difference between that and the e4400 (9x vs 10x)

I noticed though that xbit called the 4400 a souped up allendale vs a conroe, is that true to the e4300? I never knew that

That 04/09 availability used to be 04/02. Come 04/09, it will become 04/16. "That went fast" is a misleading statement, none were sold (or, more accurately, none were sent to the consumer like you and me).

Hmmm. Well I certainly didn't mean to mislead anyone if that is indeed the case but I just checked the site again and, though I might be missing something, I see nothing about "allow 2-3 weeks for delivery" and the real time availability shows 115 units as of 7:15 4/7/07.

I am waiting a few more weeks before ordering parts regardless, but I have been checking the availability of the E4400 nearly every day since froogle began picking up the listings and, to my knowledge, yesterday was the first time any of the sellers had them listed as in stock.

It is interesting. I truly hope they don't think they can get away with listing it as in stock when they don't actually have any (or access to have them shipped toot sweet). What If one were to choose the expedited delivery, which is an option on the checkout page? If I ordered one today, given that they claim they have it in stock, and then they kept me on the hook for 3 weeks they would never get the chance to sell me anything again. That I can promise you.

Like I said, I emailed them to see what the deal is. Prolly have a response by Monday. There would be no point waiting for 3 weeks, since prices will be cut by that time.

It also no longer says there are any in stock so.....It says they have some arriving 4/9/07 now. If they fail to have any instock on MOnday, I definitely wont be buying one.

Fallen,

I am not following you. Are we talking about the same seller?? PC SuperStore? Because if so, I just checked again and they do have them listed as in stock. One of us is missing something here. I am fine with it if it is me but I simply am not seeing the same thing you are seeing. Care to elaborate?
