no im worried why they need to bring a lc system to cool a stock cpu.

First off the original SB doesnt require anything close to water.

Second off, if the cpu requires water, chances are were going to get an aftermarket sink anyhow.

Third off, if they include the H5O / H6O it would be pointless, as a lot of us cant use the sink in applicaiton due to the rad having issues in some cases.

Not to mention i dont trust a pump that small to NOT fail after long term usages.
Infact that pump on that unit fails quite often if you try to be smart and MOD the unit to greater then it is, because the pump gets overworked.

Lastly if they increase the box price to include the sink... i dont think anyone wants to pay 70 dollars extra for a cpu sink which in my eyes is not worth it on a retail package.

this is fail on intel on so many levels...

You dont actually think the H50 costs $70 to manufacture do you? No way a H50 costs more than $25 to make, $5 for Intels trouble. So maybe $30 more than stock, or $15 over Gulftown's heatsink.

no because each unit requires a longer testing time..
And they need to test each unit, instead of test batches, because all it takes is 1 loosely sealed unit to cause massive headaches.

Its like this.. you got a heat pipe air cooler.. whats the most that can go wrong?
The heat pipes are empty, yet im sure the mass will still be enough to cool the cpu on stock.

You got this LCS system.
Whats the most that can happen?

Some poor underpaid worker forgot to put on the clamp securly so it was loose. Then upon application, that tubing fell out, and spilled coolant all over your system.

Your system completely shorts out.

Intel is not a type of company to ever go route 2.
Possibly though DELL, or a partner.. but not Intel themselves.
