Intel Chipset INF Utility

I have the Intel D875PBZ. I check for driver updates specifically for the 875P chipset from Intel's website, and I found a newer chipset utility.

My interrogative is should I install this? Has anybody else installed this? Intel says you should install these chipset drivers before you install any other drivers in your system. Well, everything is already installed because this Windows XP Professional installation I am on is a good 6 months old.

You definitely need chipset drivers and in general you should also keep up to date with the latest versions as they're released.

So yes, you should definitely install them. Go to Intel's website, find the latest version and install them.
