Intel Chipset Drivers v9.4.0.1017

If you have the Intel Chipset Software previously installed, then simply running the new Setup.exe file will not work, here is what you need to do.

For ease of typing, I rename the setup.exe file to chip.exe just to make it easier in DOS

1) Download the latest Intel Chipset Drivers, if it was an *.exe file, rename it to chip.exe or setup.exe; if it was a zip file, then extract the files to a folder, then rename the folder to chip (the name you choose does not matter, but this is what is used in this example)

2) Copy that folder to the root of your C:\ Partition

3) Press the START MENU button > All Programs > Accessories > then right click on Command Prompt and choose Run As Administrator

4) In the Command Prompt, type:

- cd\ to back to the ROOT of c:
- cd chip to go into the folder Chip
- setup.exe -overall then hit ENTER

Now the drivers will be installed completely because if you don't follow this method, then as soon as you run the setup regularly and hit next, you will notice that the installation completed and nothing happened.

NOTE: You MUST re-install the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Drivers after you install the Intel Chipset Drivers because the Intel Chipset Drivers usually install their own AHCI Controller so you have to reinstall the IRST Drivers again as they are better.
