Intel Chipset driver v6.2.0.1005 for IC7-MAX3?

I was just looking over the ABIT drivers page for the IC7-MAX3 and noticed this was put up on their site on Sept. 3rd. Do I need to install this and if so, how do I install it?

Is this the same thing as the INF Update Utility v6.0.1.1002 on Intel's site?

I'm really confused.

You are not alone, I too own this motherboard.

In the release notes they speak of "NOTE: The INF files are designed to update only devices
not supported by the corresponding operating system."
So my guess is that it is important to install this latest package.

I have the same board, and i have no current issues at all with compatability etc. I only update, if there is a fix for an issue with the board.

I installed it - works fine. Its posted as May 7 2004 via Intel.
