Intel chipset 40%, Via chipset 60% by year's end

god I hope not... VIA chipsets have awful performance... then again so does Intel's current crop. Oh well.

VIA's chipset are not bad when comes to performance...
via 133a is pretty good...

I am sick and tired of intel...trying to push new memory standard, trying to put intergrated video on the mb...always trys to screw the consumer...other than the good old hx and bx chipsets...what does intel has that's actually good??

lx?? tx?? zx?? 810?? 820??

i hate 815 w/ intergrated 3d..i know i can choose not to use it.. but it still is very annoying..

Is the difference that much? Check out this picture for the memory performance of a Tyan Tiger 133 benchmarked in Sandra.

http://www.maxforums.org/gfx/memory.jpg

This benchmark was ran with PC133 memory on a single P3-866Mhz (screwed one of the slot1 connectors 🙁 )
I'm assuming that the P3-500 also runs on PC133 memory. If it isn't, then the memory performance sucks indeed!
