i740 might have failed, but it brought innovations forward (AGP) and was turned into the Intel 810/815 IGP which was pretty decent (could play lots of the D3D games ok at a time most PCs still ddn't have that capacity) and popular with OEMs


also it was a traditional video card, comparable to what NV/3DFX/S3 and so on were trying to make (performance was not near the high end, but it was OK enough for mid-low end at the time)

Larrabee was trying to re invent the wheel and failed to produce anything in terms of GPUs
