Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 suddenly slow speeds with new router?

I have a brand new Lenovo Ideapad y510p with Windows 8, which has an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 card in it. For the last 2 months, I've had a Linksys ea2700 router, and I was getting 58 mbps during a speedtest on this laptop, as well as all the rest of the computers in our house. Yesterday, we had a power outage and our router blew, so we bought a similar router because the ea2700 wasn't available anymore. We got the Linksys e2500. It's basically exactly the same as far as I could tell. Every other wireless computer in the house is still getting between 55-60 mbps, but the Lenovo laptop is now getting 17 mbps. All drivers are up to date (the most recent Intel Wireless driver is from 8/22/13). Is there ANYTHING I can do to make the internet speeds on my laptop fast again? I don't understand why they were almost 60 with the last router, but now not even 20 with the new router. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I use an E2500, with Shibby Tomato, and an Acer Aspire One 722 (C-60) laptop/netbook. I get 50Mbit/sec down with my FIOS connection through the 2.4Ghz wireless on the E2500.

I think my laptop has an Atheros wifi card. It connects at 72Mbit/sec.
