Intel Centrino comparison charts

Hi. I am shopping around for a notebook at the moment but have not kept up to speed with the Centrino technology. Is there a chart giving rough comparisons between Centrino's and other processors? I've had a look but can't actually find one, except random things which say Centrino's perform better in a mobile environment, but I would like to know what kind fo performance to expect from a 1.6GHz Centrino with 512MB DDR Ram for example when compared to an Athlon XP 2000+ in a desktop environment for example. Thanks

James

If you ever need just a quick comparison, the general rule-of-thumb is to multiply the centrino's speed by 1.5 to get the equivalent P4. Then for AMDs, just use the PR ratings (or go under the PR rating a little, b/c AMD tends to over-estimate).
