intel celleron D 2800, 73oC @ idle, is this too hot ??

the cpu at idle is 73oC according to the bios, having never used a celleron D 2800 before im unsure of the temps but i know they ran hot. any advice is welcome thanks.

That's definitely way too hot. Your heatsink must not be completely seated; it's supposed to be installed while the motherboard is out of the case. That let's you see whether all four of the feet are completely through the board, or not.

Depends on what you're using for cooling and how good your case ventilation is. That CPU can handle that temperature just fine, and indeed should be operational up to around 90ºC.
