Intel Celeron temperatures

Celeron Tualatin 1200@1400 Idles at 26 degrees, never gets over 30 at 70degrees F room temp in a slot-1 case with a Globalwin FOP32 on (Athlon XP1600+ cooler), the CPU is always about only 2 to 3 deg higher than the motherboard temp though on this board (a Jetway 694TAS) the Mobo sensor is near the northbridge hence near the CPU.

Coppermine 566 @705 sits at around 32degrees on the same board with a Coolermaster Athlon HS on.. That never got over 36degrees..

The key to both these temp achievements was large Athlon heatsinks with 4000-odd RPM fans on and a decent heatsink compound like AS2.... Those Tualatin Celerons really ROCK! 🙂
 
Tualatin Celeron 1.1A running at 1.46GHz, about 36-38C idle, using retail box HSF. I had a Tualatin Celeron 1.0A running default speed with a Coolermaster HHC-001 (68k RPM fan, all copper, heatpipes) which basically idled at room (motherboard) temperature, or 1 degree over.
