FORGET THE THING THAT WAS HERE BEFORE

EDIT: okay, I am going for a Celeron computer. First off, I need it CHEAP. The only thing I really need to know is what processor/motherboard combonation is the best. I will use parts from my old computer for this intel one (graphics card, ram, NIC card, case, HD, etc.)I plan to overclock it as much as I can. So what specefic parts should I consider? Also, I should mention again that I need it as cheap as possible without losing much performance.

im going to use it mainly as a paperweight ^^...

Well my brother is probably going to use it. Occasional gaming, etc. He doesn't play stressing games though, just games like AOE and some counter-strike. I'm planning to put my GF2 pro in there and buy me a new radeon8500. But that is only a possibility...

I am going to use it for general use,,, internet, movies, gaming, audio, etc.

Also, omit the P3. I don't think I have the money for that anymore.

damocles: I already considered that but I wanna compare it to a Celeron; see which one is cheaper, etc. I already have the ECS k7s5a on this rig and I'm happy with it. However, I would like more experience with other parts as well.

Well, I'd trust ECS boards for cheap. But, anyway. The only board that I know is great for Socket 370 is Asus C/T USL2 series. I would pay the extra $$$'s to get them. Plus they oc great. For ocing, well, you can't beat the Celeron 1.2 (Tualatin) for ocing. Some ppl are hitting 133fsb:p. That's about the only thing I would go for in terms of Socket 370
