It's supposed to be $75 off if you buy online, at least according to email I got from them.

kinda but not really.

this is $155 + 6shipping + 7tax = 168 total , that's 4 dollar less than i paid for retial box from HWrebuild, the 3 year warranty and heatsink is worth 4 bucks easy, plus my E6300 came overnight since HWrebuild is only 300miles away from me.

that's an expensive heatsink considering they're selling the retail 6600 @ $369.

No tax for me, so it makes the E6300 $12 cheaper than HWRebuild. I wouldn't be using the stock heatsink anyway, and I'd be overclocking, so the extra warranty is worthless for me. Usually OEM chips carry a 30 day warranty...if a chip makes it past that long, the chances are extremely slim it's going to die in just a year or two as opposed to its expected life cycle of several years.

I love the CSR's at MC, best in my opinion, go and talk to them, they'll do something for you.

Why does everyone complain about OEMs?

Is it because they don't come with heatsinks?

OEMS are great i love-um, but they should be at a minimum of $20.00 les than a retial box cpu.

not complaining, just a reminder. A hot deal will become a warm deal because it is OEM. Coz it comes with 90 days warranty and without heatsink...

No way. They should be way cheaper than that. The Heatsink, Warranty, and techincal support are easily worth $20 or more. Not to mention that cool case sticker they give you and the retail packaging that protects it during shipping.
