Will most likely NOT OC and looking for something to run stable and quiet. I will be using the total PC for gaming and to run Boxee.depends on what you want to do..stock performance dosent make much difference..all x58 boards perform the same....
intel board is not 100% solid caps..if overclocking is in your future choose another board.
get a board with usb3.0 if your buying now.

Unless the board is broken in some way, if you are not overclocking then they are pretty much ALL stable and quiet.
I actually do not like the layout of the Intel board, so I would pass on it for that reason alone.
There are a number of socket 1366 boards in the $200 and under range that should suffice (unless you want it featured-out).
I love mine. Rock solid stable and the layout was the best for me. I got a sound card, tv tuner card, dual slot gtx 470, 6gb ram, and a megahalems all on this board. Thats alot of stuff on one board. Not the greatest overclocker but it'll get you a solid overclock if needed. The bios has gotten much better with the latest updates. I would recommend this board to anyone. Just as every bit as good as my gigabyte x58 board.
Looked up the DX58SO - doesn't look too bad, but at that price and no usb 3.0?
It's a good board. If you want cheap buy a biostar, ecs, or asrock. I buy quality parts for my rigs and have been enjoying trouble free computing. This build is over a year old now without a hiccup.
