intel bad axe 2, hdd led problem?

is it normal that hdd led is allways on, without blinking when hard disk is working? on 99.9% computers if hard disk is working then hdd led is blinking, if hard disk is not working then led is off.

second question is about bios:
on boot-ing, on upper right screen is intel logo, thats fine, but bellow logo is white square with another intel sign, I was expecting "core 2 duo inside" sign. is this ok?. I updated my bad axe2 with latest bios, and before was that situation.and on boot-ing there are some numbers on lower right screen, this is propably post80-debug, like on epox boards.
I have 504 revision board.
 
The HD light on is discussed in another forum, it has to do with the marvel controller. I have a bx2 and no drives on the marvel controller and the hd light is not on.
 
Mine just started this, I swear it didn't do it yesterday... Any OC tips on this board??? C2D 6600/2Gb Corsair XMS/8800GTX, stock cooler...Thanks
