Intel Application Accelerator problems...

Reinstalling XP on a Shuttle SB51G.

After I install the Intel Application Accelerator, the system hangs on boot during the XP boot screen. Has done so three times now.

Not sure what the deal is as I've had it installed on this system before.

Any ideas?

I've got a new 160gig drive, set to cable select.

I do on a couple of boxes.
There used to be a certain installation procedure.

Wether you need it or not may depend on your motherboad.

Indeed, 'twas of dubious value (some may argue more for benchmarks than useage) and was discontinued for non-RAID chipsets by the i865/875 era so check them release notes or simply stick with those drivers included with the latest SP.

Mine is a 845 chipset... I used the versiont hat came with the XPC to begin with and that hangs the system too....

ah well.... I saw some things in some forums about it not liking DVD/RW and CD/RW's.
