Dealing with one of those mini HP systems that has mobile parts in a mini desktop setup. It has an integrated 910GL express chipset.

need a larger resoluton monitor for 2d office work. Right now the dell 2000fp is not big enough to look at the high rez documents I need.

right now I have a 1600x1200 working fine via VGA. But how high can I go?

I imagine you can go up to 2048x1536 over VGA ... however, you're probably at the limit of acceptable quality right where you are now.

the i910gl uses the gma 900.

its basically a lower clocked gma950. you can do 1920x1200 i think on that if not more. I have personally used the gma 950 at 1920x1200

When I go to display properties it won't go above 1600x1200. But it could go higher? When I call HP they say to run anything more would require a new computer with a 8800gts video card which is total BS.

hmm, i think iwas actually using it the an optional dvi card thing for the gma 950 so maybe youll have to tweak the driver with some utility.
