I have the 875PBZ board. I want to run RAID 0 for the performance boost (I've read there is..?).

Running on RAID 0 it's recommended that you have two separate controllers. I have read their tech specs and it sounds like the board has one SATA controller, and 2 SATA ports. Or am I misunderstanding it.

"Channels" not "Controllers". Each SATA header on the board is a header. Keep in mind if you have a board with onboard SATA + a secondary SATA RAID chip, you cannot run raid across the different controllers.

This is the quote I found:
Best performance is achieved when data is striped across multiple controllers with only one drive per controller
.

Each head are channels on one SATA controller. I'd only be using the onboard SATA connectors.
