Intel 865PE Mainboard.. BOXD865PERLK

funks

Yo,

It seems that the Intel 865PE Mainboard is now on stock over at AXIONTECH (BOXD865PERLK).

The specs state

INTEL BOXD865PERLK 865PE PENTIUM4 SOCKET 478 800MHZ FSB ATX DDR AGP8X SERIAL ATA150 5PCI 1GBLAN AUDIO RETAIL BOX.

Anybody know if the GB LAN is CSA or if the onboard audio is SOUNDMAX? This should be one darned stable board.. Wanted to get a D875PBZ but this board has onboard audio, don't really need the onboard raid so no biggie.

Ordered one, will use it to replace my MSI 865PE NEO2-LS..

The 2.4C1,2.6C1,2.8C1 are now shipping also, bought a 2.6C1 from Essential Computers and got my tracking number a few minutes ago..

Anyone know the difference between the Intel D865PERL, D865PERLL, and D865PERLK? I see all three on NewEgg.com ranging from $115 to $156 but they all seem to have the same specs. Can someone tell me the difference? I can't find this information anywhere...

man, this board is rock solid..

BTW, tighter timings on RAM doesn't seem to make much difference on this board in terms of bandwidth

2 512MB - TWINMOS WINBOND CH5

CAS# Latency = 2.5 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay = 3 clocks
RAS# Precharge = 3 clocks
Cycle Time = 8 clocks

My results =

RAM Bandwidth Int Buff iSSE2 4248 MB/s
RAM Bandwidth Float Buff iSSE2 4242 MB/s

what are you guys getting?

I haven't gotten mine, but i can't wait! Intel had some special for $390 you get 865PERLK and 3.0 pentium @ 800Mhz bus, so i swooped it. I looked on newegg and saw the PERLK for $156 and the p43.0c for $420, so the deal is saving me about 180 bucks.

But im glad to hear that it is a rock solid board. i'm going with kingston HyperX ddr 400 with 2-2-2-6 timing, what do you guys think?

Is this offer still available (had?)? Could you provide more info or a link? Thanks!

heck ya! where is that?

Looking at NewEgg, I am confused by something. If you compare a OEM PERLL ($145) to a Retail PERLL ($134), it appears the OEM gives you more (USB Header, I/O Plate, IDE Cables, Serial ATA cables).

I always thought Retail gave you more accessories and was more expensive than OEM??

The deal is on www.intel.com/shop for people who attend the ICC event they had. I didnt go, but my father did and he gave me his promtion code. If you dont have the code, they want $920!!!!! So unless you can find a valid code (i used mine 🙁 ) then dont buy from them!
