I can't find them anywhere on their website.

Basically the story is this. A friend of mine who isn't computer literate very much had his cousin's fiance' build him a PC (P4 3.0 prescott, x700 pro, etc., basically crap components) and then when it wouldn't boot up right, he took it to me. I figured out the problem (dumbass didn't put in all the mobo screws, so their wasn't enough support to properly torque the screw things on the stock HFSU for the prescott. Thing was idling at like 80C, any ammount of load temps would turn it right off. That and he had the SATA power and the normal power plugged into the HDD. hope that didn't cook it. So I fixed all that stuff and was going to go load up win xp for him, when the HDD didn't detect. I called up my friend, and he said that there was no disk with the manual's and stuff for SATA drivers. So I looked on the site, nothing. Just wondering if you people who are more knowledgable about P4's can help me out here.

Since its an intel Chipset, do they use the SI 3112/4, or would it be the intel specific drivers. I guess thats something I need to find out.

I dont know about the ECS board, but usually Intel Sata is integrated into the southbridge, and only needs a driver when its set to the raid option.

When its not in raid, then its treated as an IDE drive by Windows and doesn't need a third party driver.
You may want to check the sata/ide options in the bios.

If your using the raid mode then just get the drivers from intel for the ICH5 chipset.
