Hi All,

Whould the GF2 MX400 give me better 3D performance than the 845G's onboard (not very) Extreme graphics? I know both are limited, I was just wondering which is better.

Thanks

Hmm it would be an interesting to know which is better indeed. Both dominate a huge portion of the market. I used to have an onboard crappy Intel chip, I don't even know what it is, it came with my Pentium 3 mobo. Then I switched to the MX 440 and thought "Yeah baby! I own a 3D card now!" Guess how I reacted when I find out it is almost as crappy as the onboard chip I just ditched... But I've had a 9700 Pro coming to me now! Never again would I be putting up with crappy chips!

The GF2 MX will be slightly faster because it has dedicated memory. Thus r system will reclaim the memory previously used by the intel video as system memory. Onboard video is totally crap in my opinion and just slows everything down
