Hope this is not a double post. Searched for it but couldn't find any posting on it. Saw this over at XBit and Inquirer. Those guys are fast to change their mind. I thought the product was shoved ;)

BTW, is it true that 845 mobos can only support 4x 1.5v AGP cards?

apparently intel is moving up releasing the 845D chipset to november, but that doesn't mean that motherboards with the chipset will be coming out before jan 1, 2002. intel is still bound by contract to rambus not to release it, so the news just means that intel is going to ship them early. this move is because there was/is a drought of 845s--OEMs ran out and intel could not meet demand. also, intel is also not meeting demand on their 1.7, 1.8, and 2.0 GHz processors. all and all, intel is running a sh*t operation over there... glad i'm an AMD man =)

Oh darn. I can't take this anymore. Have been waiting for it for a long time. Next system of must *has* to be an AMD. Be it nForce or KT266A :(
