Intel 815

I currently have a Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard in my Micron Millenia GS 733 and it has been the buggiest computer I have ever owned. Micron recently sent me a new motherboard and it is still as buggiest as the first. I am interested in purchasing an Intel 815 motherboard and from all of the articles I have seen, the ASUS CUSL2 is the way to go.

Is everyone happy with their Intel 815 chipset? Have you found fewer lockups and better stability than with the Via Apollo Pro chipset?

Very happy with mine. No real problems, performs well, ASUS CUSL2.

It make me confused!

IMO, Tyan Trinity 400 is one of the MOST STABLE motherboard in may be not now but before! 🙂

I have built at least 4 computer with that mobo and have no problem at all!

Again, it sucks when overclocking but it's cheap!


Anyway, CUSL2 is the one you should go for! 🙂

If you don't care about overclocking, here is another vote for the Intel D815EEAL. The onboard 10/100 ethernet is a nice plus.

Be sure to do some research on performance compared to VIA and BX 440 chipset boards.The Abit BX 133 RAID with PC 133 capability is still the king and VIA is not far behind.
