Hi all!

I am planning to get a second hand system (secondary machine) primarily to run Nuendo. The interface of Nuendo is too cluttered to manage with just 1 monitor. So, I am buying an additional cheap 14" monitor along with the 15" one that comes with it. Will the onboard VGA in i810E support multiple monitors?

I searched in GOOGLE but couldn't find the details.

Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance.

I seriously doubt it. But you can always toss in a PCI card for dual display support (if the machine doesn't ahve an AGP slot.)

We have some i810e-based Gateway P3's at work and at least under Win2000Pro, the only way to get dual-monitor support was with two PCI cards. The AGP video wouldn't play nice. :p

It varies from board to board as to whether or not it will work. I had my best luck using Voodoo 3000 pci video cards. They don't take over the video interupt. Alot of other video cards take over the video and prevent the onboard from working in dual mode. I've even had some Nvidia cards not work in a 810 chipset. They would make the system take 5 minutes to boot, as it decided which video to use.
